Planning Submitted for Uplin

We’re excited to share that we’ve submitted a planning application for Uplin — a thoughtful retrofit and extension project that blends sustainable materials with low-energy design.

The proposal focuses on improving thermal performance and reducing long-term energy demand. Key measures include an air source heat pump, MVHR, and internal wall insulation using woodfibre boards — ideal for the solid stone construction of this traditional bungalow. A new timber-frame extension adds living space while maintaining a low-carbon footprint.

Planning is always a big milestone, and this one feels even more special as our first formal submission under the Architecta name.
